Hi, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Rafael, and you’ll be hearing a lot from me. As Thingfo’s new Director of Social Marketing I’ll be blogging and twittering about all things Thingfo, because I care.  Pleased to meet you.

I will use this space to explore all the exciting developments underway at Thingfo as we move SocialSite from its current Private Alpha status to Public Beta and it’s eventual, inevitable World Domination. I’ll look at all the different ways people are using SocialSite, keep you up to date on its development, and explore the continual evolution of Web 2.0 (aren’t we on at least Web 2.1 yet?) and Thingfo’s part in it. I’ll also create a bunch of different SocialSite example widgets to showcase its uses for a wide range of users, from blogs to bands to political groups. As we refine SocialSite we’ll be adding all kinds of cool features (keep an eye out for an announcement about in-widget search functionality!), as well as continually updating the services it draws from, and I’ll be here with my e-bullhorn to share the news.

I’m all about getting the word out about how truly cool and useful our SocialSite widget is, but I also want to hear from our users and help them spread the news about their projects, so if you’re using SocialSite and want the world to know, drop me a message at rafael@thingfo.com.
